This Year's Category Winners
Roy Hill took home the Australian Mine of the Year award, highlighting its exceptional performance in iron ore mining. As one of Australia’s largest operations, Roy Hill’s achievements reflect the hard work and innovation of its entire team.
Buru Rehab was awarded the Indigenous & Community Engagement Award for its partnership with MinRes, managing road maintenance and civil works at the Wodgina lithium mine. This collaboration has provided meaningful employment opportunities and expanded Buru Rehab’s capacity to take on larger projects.
IGO earned Discovery of the Year for its Dogleg nickel-copper-cobalt prospect, a significant find that promises to support Australia’s future nickel production. @IPI Australia was recognised in the Innovative Mining Solution category for its advanced shaft alignment system, providing efficient solutions to conveyor challenges.
Excellence in Mine Safety, OH&S Sponsored by Geographe
In the Excellence in Mine Safety, OH&S Award category, sponsored by Geographe, Roy Hill was recognised for its "Safer Summer" initiative. This program included monthly focus topics and a competition element called the ‘We Care Team Safety Challenge’, which encouraged teams to share hazard control initiatives interactively.
